As part of a Visual Communication Design assignment I was given the task of designing a bookcover for Loitering, a book by Seattle author Charles D'Ambrosio which is a collection of eleven essays in which he discusses his travels and his personal life and experiences he has had throughout his life. While designing the bookcover I looked at several aspects of the book which could be explored and which I found interesting and accordingly designed the following six book covers below.
While designing these bookcovers I not only read the book but also visited and photographed the places in Seattle the author spoke about for inspiration as well as to get a better understanding of the environments he discussed so as to ensure the theme and tone of the book could be better depicted in the bookcovers I was making.
